About

Coworker Games exists because of a blocked install.

Remote teams need what every office team needs: a reason to laugh together that isn’t another meeting. Party games are great at that. We love the Jackbox Party Packs, and so do plenty of teams. But at work they usually mean installing a desktop game, often from Steam, and a lot of company laptops block Steam. Sensibly, mostly. So game night turns into a support ticket.

We wanted party games that work anyway. Open a link, pick a mascot, play. Nothing to install, no account to make, nothing for IT to approve. Light enough to run next to a video call, and sturdy enough that a browser crash costs you a reload, not your seat.

The first game is Double Booked, the funniest-answer game: two answers claim the same slot, and the room decides. Engineering teams can play the Merge Conflict edition. Patch hosts. Patch is a rubber duck, a nod to programmers who explain their code to a duck until they spot the bug themselves. Patch takes the job very seriously.

AutoComplete™, the helper that answers when you run out of time, is a parody of every overconfident AI assistant. It isn’t a real product. It would like to circle back on that.

Is this only for developers? No. Most prompts are about everyday work and life, and any team can play: finance, sales, HR, support, and everyone else on the call. If you run an engineering team, there’s a Dev Life pack with the git and deploy jokes. Games for remote teams, or for engineering teams.

More games are on the way. Patch has opinions about which.
